1. Take out an ad in the newspaper. Create a colorful ad with photos of the two of you and your proposal.
   
   
2. Post a classified in your local newspaper asking her to marry you. Read through the classifieds together and when she reads your ad, get down on one knee and ask for her hand in marriage. Keep the classified as a keepsake.
   
   
3. Did you meet through the personal ads? Place a personal ad asking her to marry you in the newspaper or online.
   
   
4. Send out a press release asking her to marry you. Hopefully your local newspaper or magazine will pick up the story!
   
   
5. Create flyer's with your proposal and post them around town where she will see them. To make sure this works, hang them up and take her on a walk when you know she'll see them. When she sees the flyer, get down on one knee and propose.

10. Purchase a few packages of children's alphabet refrigerator magnets and spell your proposal out on the fridge. Plan to spend the evening cooking a romantic dinner or sensual dessert together. When she comes into the kitchen to help, ask her to get something out of the fridge so that she'll see your proposal. When she turns around, get down on one knee and ask for her hand in marriage.
    
    
11. Create your own newspaper front page with a headline that reads "Will you marry me, name?". Get up early one morning and slip the fake front page over the real newspaper for her to find. While you're sipping your morning coffee and she opens the paper to find your proposal, tell her how much she means to you and ask if she'll do you the honor of becoming your wife.
    
    
12. Get a really romantic card and write "Will you marry me?" on the inside. Put it in the envelope, address it to your sweetie, stick it in the mailbox, then ask her to check the mail. When she brings it in and sees the card for you, have the ring ready!
