Marriage Proposals Using Your Pets and other Animals
Get your pets involved in your marriage proposal (think 'Meet the Parents') or propose using other animals or in an animal setting such as the zoo. While it may sound odd at first, there are several creative -- and romantic -- ideas that she'll never forget!
Tie the ring to your cat or dog's collar, then call them to come in (ala 'Meet the Parents'). When she sees the ring, get down on one knee and propose.
Teach your parrot to say 'Will You Marry Me?'. She'll be surprised to hear the words coming from your feathered friend.
If you're lucky enough to live near the ocean or if you're planning a tropical vacation, setup a swim with dolphins. Play together in the water with flipper and then propose afterwards. If you're really inclined, talk to the company ahead of time and there might be a way to actually propose while the two of you are swimming with the dolphins.
Take her to the zoo for the afternoon. While that may not sound like the most romantic place in the world, if you read up on the animals ahead of time, you can spend the afternoon telling her how each express their love to their mates. After you're done describing the animal relationships, tell her that it's time to to take yours to the next level and ask for her hand in marriage.
If you have a fish tank at home, get a special piece for inside, such as a treasure chest. Add the ring and a small sign of some sort that says something like "Of all the fish in the sea, you're the only one for me. Will you marry me?". When she reads the sign, get down on one knee and ask her to be your wife.
Get a custom made sweater for your dog that says "Will you marry me?" You could surprise her with the sweater -- and proposal -- when you pick fido up from the groomers. Or, plan a walk ahead of time and have her meet you at the park. When she arrives, have fido greet her with your proposal.
Plan a romantic picnic or an afternoon of hiking together. Bring along a pair of doctored binoculars with a the end covered with a piece of paper that says "will you marry me?". When you hear some birds chirping, look through the binoculars, then pass them to her to look through. As she looks through them and see's your proposal, get down on one knee and put the ring on her finger.
If you enjoy the rodeo, plan a rodeo evening out and propose while you're there. You could arrange ahead of time to have your proposal printed in the program or on some type of signage at the arena. If you don't have time to plan something ahead of time, pick a random moment during the show to tell her how much you love her and ask for her hand in marriage.
After an intimate, romantic dinner, take her out for a romantic horse drawn carriage ride around the city. While cuddling close together under the stars, ask her to do you the honor of becoming your wife.
Turn a normally un-romantic day of fishing into a day that she'll always remember. Create a lure ahead of time that reads "will you marry me?" and ask her to get it from the tackle box. When she gets it, pop the question. You could also put together something to attach to your pole, such as a romantic card in a waterproof bag. Attach it without her noticing and after you cast the line, pretend that you've caught something and ask her to reel it in. When she gets the package, have her read your message, then get down on one knee and propose.
