Do you turn into a football widow every September? I know that's what happens in my house. My husband and his pals take all three TV's from around the house and gather them in our living room so that they can watch three football games at once. At the same time, they're tracking their fantasy football teams. Football season does put a damper on romance, cutting into your couple time together, but it doesn't have to take it to the 'end' zone. Here are a few tips to help you up the romance through January.
Go to a game together.
At first thought, this may not sound like much fun to you, but try to think positive. Head out to a local high school, college, or professional game. Take along a warm blanket and cuddle together during those chilly afternoons/nights. The major benefit though is that you're spending time together, even if you're guy is totally into the game! If you're not a football fan, don't worry. The atmosphere and cheering ensure a good time.
Turn it into a game.
If you're guy watches the game at home, turn his game into a personal game between the two of you. For every first down, give your partner a quick kiss. For every touchdown, turn up the heat with a more passionate kiss.
Fantasy Football.
Most football fanatics are part of fantasy football. Try creating your own "fantasy" football though. Pick a game of the week and let that be your fantasy game. Each of you should then pick a team. For every touchdown scored by your team, you're partner must perform a "fantasy" of yours. For every touchdown your partner's team scores, you perform a "fantasy" of his.
Strip Football.
Yet another football fantasy. Obviously this would work best if the two of you were watching the game together at home alone. Pick a game for the week, with each of you selecting one of the teams. For each point that your team scores, your partner must remove one article of clothing and vice versa. If it's a high scoring game, you may have an exciting half time. Otherwise get ready for the after game....
After game.

Compromise.
If you're guy is willing to compromise, spend the first half of the game doing something together and then let him watch the 2nd half. Most of the exciting stuff doesn't happen until the 2nd half anyway!
Tie Game.
Even the score by spending each Saturday night out together having a romantic dinner or other romantic date. Then, on Sunday's, he can settle in and watch the game.
Join Him.
Watch the game with him on TV and root for his time. Challenge him to a game of Madden football on his Xbox, PS2, or computer.
Flag Football.
If you're guy actually plays football, why not join him for a friendly game of flag football. You'll have fun playing together outdoors.
Turn up the heat.
If you have a hot tub, watch the game from there! You'll have fun frolicking together during the commercials and half time. If you don't have a hot tub, engage in a little extra interference to turn up the heat.

I really think this may help. I've been trying to get my boyfriend to understand my passion for football since we started dating.
