Floral Proposal
My girlfriend loved flowers. I took her to a flower nursery where I incorporated the assistance of the manager. Amongst the brightly, yellow colored flowers, I arranged to have potted, red colored, flowers placed in the nursery that spelled out the words..."Susan, will you marry me, Brad". I further hid my spelling by covering the red - worded - flowers with yellow peddles. Then, on cue, the fans were turned on and the loose peddles were blown away to reveal my message. She cried and said yes. Directly behind us was a rose arrangement where I had the ring resting on top of a rose bud. She stills talks about it today.

I'm a wedding planner who started helping clients with marriage proposals as well when I saw all the Do's and Don'ts of marriage proposals. Recently, one of my clients proposed after a broadway show as well because his fiancee was dying to see a show in NYC. He had a page made in the playbill with his fiancees photo and description of why she is so wonderful. After the show, the walked outside and strangers started walking up to her and handing her flowers saying congrats, you are great, etc. As she stood there receiving roses and confused, her fiance pointed out how she looked a lot like the actress in the playbill (the page of her in the playbill). She read the beautiful things her fiance had to say and at the end of the description said, "Her boyfriend hopes she will be engaged to him tonight." At that moment he got down on one knee and popped the question! (resource: www.simplyuproposals.com) He said she absolutely loved it and it was one of my favorite marriage proposal ideas. They are an adorable engaged couple! Good luck with your marriage proposals and may it be an amazing story you share with all your friends and family!

My co-worker, suggested I pass this along to you as a possible proposal idea. We think the idea of being the first (and only) person to propose on what will be the world's longest elevated pedestrian park before it opens this fall is intriguing. It could be a fun and captivating.
The Ultimate Proposal
Make your own history! Be the first and only person to propose on the Walkway Over the Hudson before it opens this fall as the world’s longest pedestrian bridge!
Cross the “bridge” from single to betrothed at the ultimate place to pop the question. You will have this grand, historic bridge entirely to yourself when you pose the ultimate request: “Will You Marry Me?”
Imagine taking a summer evening stroll across the Walkway Over the Hudson, soaring 210 feet above the majestic Hudson River and the glorious Catskill Mountains off in the distance. A soft breeze blows and you stop to admire the setting sun’s dappled reflection on the Hudson far below. The remarkable solitude of this one-of-a-kind place bathes you in peace as you take your beloved’s hand. A slight but distinctive hum begins in the background and slowly builds. You both look up to see a vintage World War One-era bi-plane flying overhead. As it comes into view, rose petals begin to float down and blanket the bridge. You take a knee and proclaim your love forever with the words “Will you marry me?”!
How could your beloved say anything but “Yes! Yes! Yes!”
What’s included:
• A catered candle lit dinner for two
• Champagne toast
• Romantic live background music
• Two golden railroad spikes to commemorate your engagement and this historic event
• A vintage World War One-era bi-plane flown in the sky above the bridge tossing rose petals
I've attached a description of the package we are offering as a fundraiser for Walkway Over the Hudson, a nonprofit organization working to restore the landmark Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge. This will be posted shortly on E-Bay to allow the world a chance to bid on this romantic package prior to the grand opening of the Walkway on Oct. 2-4. Please let me know if you need any other information, I'd be happy to provide whatever you need. Many thanks.
Best regards,
Steve Densmore
