Look Into My Eyes

I long for your touch, I have craved for it so much!
I need for you to know without you I am not whole.
Do you know or even understand who it is that I am?
I am not just a man, an affair, or Friday night date.
I am the one, your heart's forever, your soul-mate!

Before the start of time we had each selected our mate,
and God performed all marriages in this heavenly state.
Soul-mates understand forever and never underestimate,
as they know that God's Court allows a 0% divorce rate.

So my quest has culminated in what I saw in your eyes.
When I first saw your photo, it took me by shock and surprise!
There on my computer was a face my heart and soul has seen,
and your eyes spoke to me of where your soul and life have been.
Your accomplishments and defeats, the pain of loves haggard streets.
If I have my way you'll never again know the hurt of love's deceit!

Your life's disappointments that like me, are kept mostly unseen,
But both sensing that finding our mate would make our lives careen,
towards a forever love, and will, if I can convince you to at least try,
to give us the chance, just hold me, and LOOK INTO MY EYES!

The glow of your face is lit from within by the beauty of your soul.
And the times we shared together, you always made my life feel whole,
Princess, though we are apart our hearts and souls do know,
we need to be together for our souls to be nourished and grow.

I believe that if I am given a chance and this much you will do,
you will see in my eyes your soul-mate looking back at you.
What if I am right and the picture that I paint above is true,
Wouldn't you want your soul-mate to love and to hold you?

We have traveled for thousands of years waiting for this chance
now your face appears on my computer and I looked and gasped.
Just hold me for a minute and LOOK INTO MY EYES!

If the opportunity never arises we may not again connect
and our life together will have to wait until our souls resurrect
