TO GROW OLD TOGETHER!

Hands frail with age, reach out to hold mine.
Hands I hold tenderly, now spotted and fine.
Hands that warmed me, better then our sun.
Hands I will cherish, until life here is done.

Lips you press hard, on an old wrinkled cheek.
Lips that know love, and of my love they seek.
Lips I long for, with all the passion in my soul.
Lips that I kissed, and my heart became whole.

Eyes that are beautiful, though frosted with age.
Eyes that forgave my faults, passions, and rage.
Eyes that still adore me, when I'm not my best.
Eyes that see me differently, then all the rest.

You sit beside me, your head on my shoulder.
You awaken the passion that'll always smolder.
You are my life, and for this heart was meant
You were a prayer, until a miracle was sent.

I love you with all the passion I've always felt.
I kiss you softly, and my heart begins to melt.
I will love you forever, but now must confess,
I reached for the stars, but you accepted far less.

We faced all life’s obstacles, that came our way.
We held each other tightly, on every rainy day.
We were always there, in case the other'd fall.
We are a testament, that real love conquers all.

In my arms held tightly, while daylight fades away.
In our hearts undying love, in bodies old and grey.
In the twilight of life, one might be gone tomorrow.
In our time of grief, our love will caress the sorrow.

If we wake up tomorrow, I hope to see you there.
If we are together, then God answered my prayer.
If you wake alone to face all life’s stormy weather.
If you close your eyes, my arms will be holding you,
We've just begun: TO GROW OLD TOGETHER!
