Ok,i'm new here and i need some help.
Predictably the problem here is a girl, what else:p
This girl is in my school, she's in the year below me and we met when i did the school musical. She'd been in school with me for 4 years and we never really spoke until the musical.
Cut the long story short,we became friends and got to know each other etc. and i developed feelings for her.In a window of opportunity i asked whether she felt the same way.Unfortunately she didn't but she still wanted to be friends.
Sure i was bummed out but i recovered.
Now,this is the crazy thing.I chose,CHOSE not to get over her because truth be told...i don't wanna get over her.And here's the thing,i really really like her.
It doesn't drive me crazy but this is the other crazy thing.I want to express this liking i have for her with something romantic...something grand gestury but subtle enough so that i don't freak her out.
Thing is,this is another weird thing.I am 100% sure that when/if i do do something romantic or grand gestury for her i won't expect anything back in return.I don't care.I just want to do it for her, because i think she's worth it.I'm not trying to change her mind or force my feelings on her.I just wanna show her that she's special etc. by doing something that's meaningful and special for her...
Now i KNOW i seem crazy here but does anyone have any unique subtle grand gesture ideas?

Truelove
you seem to have the right idea about wanting anything back in return. Treat her like a very special friend. Do things together (think outside the box).
If you want to do something nice, but not overtly romantic, just take her to dinner & a play afterwards. It's really the effort and thought that you put into this that counts.
I wish you the best of luck.
