okay, i don't want this to be slutty, but i am okay if it gets romantic. so far tho, i'm just going for a lighthearted atmosphere. celebrating 9 months with my boy and i was planning on surpirsing him by taking him out to a state park just because we kinda do the same thing all the time. the park closes at 10 and i could get there about 7:30 (which is when the sun starts going down i htink) but i don't know what else to do. i have a telescope, but it's broken. is it lame to just lie there looking up? i was planning on bringing a stereo and an ice chest, but what do i put in it. i need ideas for the food and maybe an "activity" or two.

Lying down together on the ground and looking up at the sky is not lame at all! In fact, I think it's really romantic. Be sure to bring a soft blanket and check the weather forecast first because you want to go on a clear night. Just laying there in each others arms silently is so incredibly romantic and relaxing. If you want something to do that's fun and still romantic, you could get a constellation finder and search the night sky together for the constellations while you're laying together. Constellation finders are round, plastic guides that help you easily identify the constellations in the sky. Amazon has one here.

Food wise, try simple things that don't require heating... an aphrodisiac or two won't hurt either. There's a list of food aphrodisiacs here. Try some wine, strawberries, small sandwiches, crackers, cheese, those types of things. If you don't drink, get some sparkling grape juice. The type of food you have helps to set the 'romantic' mood.
