The first thing to do prior to actually creating your scrapbook is to organize and plan your book.


Sit down and ask yourself a few questions to help get the ball rolling.

1. Why am I making this album?
2. What size and style of album will I use?
3. What type of scrapbook am I creating?
4. What is my color scheme?
5. What decorative accents will I use?
6. How will I arrange my photos and journaling on the pages to create a unified look and feel?
7. Do I need to gather additional information?
8. What photos and mementos do I need to complete the album?

Answering these basic questions may seem a little tedious at first, but it will help you organize your thoughts and ideas. When you sit down to create your book, you'll be glad for the extra preparation.
