Free Fonts for Scrapbooking

Fonts are an important part of putting together your romantic scrapbook because they convey the overall mood and message of your page. Here are some great font resources we've gathered to help you out.


There are so many places to download free fonts on the Internet today. Here's are a few of our favorites:
Fonts For Kids - If you don't have kids, don't let the title scare you away. This site has some great fonts for those "fun" romance pages.
Romantic Fonts - They actually categorize these as Valentine's fonts, but these romantic fonts can be used for any romantic occasion!
ThemeWorld Fonts - Another one-stop source with thousands of font downloads.
Famous Fonts - Numerous music, television, and movie fonts.

To install a font on Windows, you will need to place the font in the 'Fonts' folder and then use the 'install font' option from the drop down menu. An easy way to use a downloaded font without installing is to open the font up prior to opening your software application. Once the font is open, you can then open your word processing or graphics program and use the font without actually installing it. Note: Be sure to scan all downloaded files for viruses prior to using them.

Downloading fonts can be addictive. Since you should never have more than xxx installed at once, what do you do with the rest? The Font Thing solves that problem. It also makes installing and uninstalling your fonts easy as pie.

As you're installing and uninstalling fonts, be sure to never uninstall or delete the following fonts:

Any font with a red 'A' for it's icon.
Any font that begins with the letters MS.
Also, some software programs have fonts that are required for the program to display properly. To be on the safe side, it's easiest to never delete a font that you did not install yourself.
