There's a girl I met the summer of '05 in summer school. We got along great and were fast friends, but I had a little crush on her and asked her for her number by the end of that summer. She'd written it in the back of this sketch book I carried around, but I'd lost the book up until recently. I lost the sketch book and I still thought about her, but I had pretty much moved on with my life, thinking I'd never talk to her again.
Well, as luck would have it, I found the book with her number last December, and I called her on Tuesday. I got her voicemail and left a message. She hadn't called back by Thursday, so I called again, but this time she answered, telling me how she was busy with her dad being in the hospital, her mom, etc., and was going to call back that week.
I invited her to my school's basketball game the next night, which she said she would like to but would have to talk to her mom first and get back to me. But, a whole week passed without a call back or message. I called her back the next Friday night and still no answer. I called her on Christmas night and New Years and left a message.
Well, it's the middle of February now and I just called her a few days ago but still nothing. Now I'm stuck with all these questions and I'm confused. I mean even if she is hung up some problem, I don't see why after two months she couldn't return one call! Couldn't she have just said, "I don't want to be in a relationship right now"? I never implied that I wanted to start a relationship with her anyway. I like her enough to ask her out, but I would accept simple friendship with her. I just don't get it.
Should I wait for her to call? Does she even sound like she wants to talk to me? Or should I just move on? I just don't want to come off as desperate but I also want her to know I want to talk to her again. I just don't get why if she didn't want to talk to me, why would she have given me her number at all? Please help me. Thanks.
Hello!
What a rude, inconsiderate bitch! Is this really the type of girl you're interested in???? Why? Trust me; if she doesn't have enough respect to pick up the damn phone, she's no prize. Feel free to tell her I said so by the way!
This being "busy" crap is just an excuse. James, nobody is busier than I am - I run three different businesses in different industries, play in a band, I'm a politician and have a VERY active social life, yet I answer these questions (30-50 of the A DAY!) every single day! This rude, self-absorbed bitch can't pick up the phone can call you back??? That's utter bullshit, and you shouldn't stand for it.
Also, forget the friendship. Is that all you think you're worth? Don't ever settle in your life for what scraps someone will throw you. Even if you don't know it yet, you're worthy of so much more. Don't tolerate this rude behavior or settle for being "friends" when you want more - EVER.
It's time to move on and throw away this jackass's phone number.
NEXT!!!!
Best regards!
