Oasis Hot tub Garden
My Fiance and I had hit a rough spot in our relationship. It started around Mother's Day of 2007 and recently ended. We have a daughter and found out we were expecting again. There was a lot of arguing and time apart. We finally realized we needed to fix things, because it was not going to be worth ending a 5 year relationship over. So, I found a local Oasis Hot tub Garden. It was inexpensive and a very amazing experience. For one and a half hours, we had a romantic themed room, with a hot tub and fireplace. We were in total privacy, with romantic music playing. We were able to focus on the two important strengths for our relationship; each other. I am sure that there are romantic retreats like this all over. I recommend it for all relationships, especially those in a relationship funk. Have Fun!
Hawaiian Bunkers
Last summer, my friend and I were trying to think of fun, original dates to take some girls out on. I don't know how we came up with this date, but it was the most incredible date I have ever been on.
First of all, I live in Hawaii. There are bunkers all around up in the mountains that were used in WWII. So, we hiked up to one (a couple of days before the date) that was easy to get to and that was around the area where we lived and cleaned it out. We cut the bushes, painted the walls, put some old, but still nice carpet on the floor, and just cleaned out all the trash.
Then, on the day of the date, we went up and set up tables, chairs, candles, and a radio. We then went home and cooked a homemade dinner of lasagna, bread sticks, and a salad, plus chocolate chip cookies for dessert. We then got ready for our date. We asked another friend who knew where the bunker was to take the food up at six o'clock. We dressed him up in a suit and he was going to be our waiter.
We told our dates that we were going to go horseback riding. Well, we picked up our dates and went to the ranch. We got our horses and we were off. We rode those horses up into the mountains and split up. My friend and his date went one way and my date and I went another. We had planned earlier to walk around in the area about half a mile away from the bunker. We took our dates on nice little horseback strolls on some beautiful trails. It began to get dark and I acted like I didn't know where we were going. I began to panic a little as I took my date back to our secret meeting spot. We surprisingly met the other couple, or so the girls thought, and we walked together.
My friend and I had disagreements on which way took us back down the trail. We walk down the trail leading straight to the bunker. At the angle we came upon the bunker, we could see a light inside but that was it. We got off our horse on the side of the bunker and told the girls that we would check it first. We entered the bunker and stood next to the table. We then called for the girls to let them know that it is safe to come in. As they entered the little bunker their faces lit up and they stood their in shock.
We took them and sat them down and started the music and we had a nice candle lit dinner. Our waiter friend served us the two course meal. After we ate, we cleaned up the paper plates (hehe) and moved the table and chairs to the side. We then had a short five song slow dance, where we just got to know our dates better. After the little dance we gave each of our dates a rose that we bought earlier and we got back on our horses.
We all walked back down to the ranch with huge smiles on our faces. We then took the girls home, and said goodnight. I later found out from my friend that his date made the move and gave him a big kiss goodnight. I laughed because my date did the same thing. It was the funnest date I have ever been on. I think we had more fun then the girls but we dated the girls again so I guessed they had fun.
