The Basic Lines of Palm Reading

There are seven main lines that palm readers look for when reading your palm. While we're going to focus on those that relate to your romantic love life and relationships, here is a brief overview of each of the main lines. These main lines are generally easy to find when studying your palm.

The Heart Line
Your heart line (1) appears above your head line and generally starts on the opposite side of your palm than the life and head lines and ends somewhere around your index finger. True to it's name, the heart line literally represents the "heart" that you show in your everyday life, including emotions, feelings, and everything centered around love, including your ability to love and be loved. A deeper, more distinct line represents a kind, generous person with deeper and warmer devotions of love, while an absent line would represent mercilessness and inhumanity and an inability to love. The Marriage Line
Also called your "love line", the marriage line encompasses everything in your love life. The marriage line is a small line found under your pinky, the area which is known as the mount of mercury. This small line comes from the outside of your palm around the edge to the inside. Some individuals have multiple marriage lines, each representing a separate marriage. If a cross is found on your marriage line, then the engagement or marriage that it represents will be broken. Other small marks on the marriage line represent illicit affairs. The Life Line
Also called your age line, the life line (4) encompasses everything in your life (age, health, etc) and therefore is the most important line on your palm. Your life line starts on the side of your palm between your thumb and index finger flows downward towards your wrist.

The Head Line
The second most important line on your palm, the head line (2) represents your brain and intellect. If your head line is long, deep, and very distinct, then you likely have a sharp mind. If it is faint or broken in different places, then you're of weaker mind. Your head line begins on or near the life between your thumb and index finger. On most palms, they originate in the same place, though your head line may be separated from your life line.

If your head line tip descends more, it is said that you're creative and a romanticist.
If your tip stays straight, then you tend to be calculating and an egocentrist.
If your tip veers upwards, then you're more of a realist and have an analytical mind fit for business.

The Fate Line
Found in only 50% of all people, the fate line begins from various areas of the palm, but always ends under the middle finger in an area known as the mount of saturn. It generally develops form the bottom of the palm towards the upper side.

The Health Line
The health line encompasses your overall health and sickness. It begins in various areas of your palm, but always under the pinky in an area known as the mount of mercury.

The Line of Apollo or Sun This line known as the "line of success" and though it begins in various areas of the palm, it always ends under the ring finger in an area known as the mount of apollo or mount of sun.
