hey, sounds like you're getting mixed signals. It is possible that you are both simply afraid of rejection; maybe he is taking it slow because he is waiting for you to show interest and reciplicate calls/invites. Or, it could be that he just wants to be friends, or maybe he isn't sure what he wants.
What I do know is this: it is important to own up to your feelings...because being rejected is better than missing the boat and never knowing.

I have been in a long term relationship, and a year and a half ago we bought my engagement ring, but I have yet to receive the question and ring.
