Romantic Dancing: From Ballroom Dancing to Exotic Dancing

Fueled by the recent Dancing With Stars reality show, the ballroom dance craze is sweeping the nation. Sure most men shudder at the thought of dance lesson, but there's a positive side to everything. The USA Ballroom Dancing Association states: "Dancing with a partner in harmony with good music will help you develop a more open, understanding, responsive, and supportive relationship with your partner and with others. Your outlook on life will become more positive."

When you take ballroom dancing lessons as a couple, you learn skills that improve your romantic relationship by giving you confidence not only on the dance floor, but in other areas of your relationship as well. Through dancing, you pick up romantic skills such as the holding, touching, and moving to the music that dancing requires. And all of this is done while you're spending quality time together having fun!

Engaged couples often seek out ballroom dancing lessons to prepare for their first dance at their wedding. These prove useful for creating that romantic and memorable moment. If you're already married, lessons could help make your anniversary or vow renewal dancing even more romantic and memorable. Dance lessons are not just for couples though. Singles can greatly benefit from them as well. Dancing is a social activity that allows you to meet many new people. Dancing is a natural icebreaker and a fun and exhilarating date activity. Cha-cha – A Cuban dance derived from the Rumba and Mambo. The hip action in this dance is sure to get your spine tingling.

Dancing Alternatives

Casual Dancing
If lessons aren't for you, why not head out for a casual night at a club? Whether you bump, grind, and sashay with the best of them – or not – a night of dancing together can help the romance. The important thing to remember is to focus on your partner or date. If you're not the best dancer, focus on the slower songs. They're more romantic anyway.

Dirty Dancing
