The most common and most popular source for starting your anniversary gift search is the well-known traditional anniversary gift list. While it's not known for certain where this anniversary gift list originated, it appears to date back to at least the mid-1800's, though some speculate it could date all the way back to the Victorian era.
It's said that the list was acknowledged by etiquette queen Emily Post in her 1922 book, Blue Book of Social Usage.
